Spaghetti carbonara

Het eerste gerecht dat ik ooit zelf leerde koken was spaghetti carbonara. Eigenlijk mag het de naam niet hebben, er kwam namelijk geen ei aan te pas. Plus ik deed er gehakt en champignons bij en alles werd vermengd met een zakje Carbonara saus. Daar ben ik langzaam op aan het terugkomen. Want ook al is deze spaghetti carbonara ook erg lekker, het haalt het niet bij de echte carbonara (hoewel deze er ook in vele varianten zijn).

Ingrediënten voor je eigen Spaghetti Carbonara – 4 personen

  • 1 ui
  • 1 teen knoflook
  • 1 pakje met spekjes, hamblokjes of bacon
  • 500 gram spaghetti
  • een zakje parmezaanse of pecorino kaas
  • 5 eieren

Hoe maak je de spaghetti carbonara

Doe de pasta in een pan met kokend water en zorg dat je de pasta maximaal  minuut korter of net zo lang kookt als op de verpakking staat. Je fruit de ui en hakt de knoflook en die bak je samen in de pan. Daarna doe je spekblokjes  of hamblokjes in de pan. Wanneer deze lekker uitgebakken zijn zet je het vuur uit.

Spaghetti carbonaraDaarna vermeng je de vijf eieren met de helft van je geraspte kaas en klop je ze goed los. Wanneer de pasta gaar is, giet je hem af en doe je hem bij de spekjes in de pan. Daarna doe je je ei-mengsel erdoorheen. Ik vond het voor mezelf fijn om de eieren te zien stollen,  dus ging de pan nog eventjes aan, maar in principe kan je het ei-mengels erdoorheen doen en hitte van de pasta verwarmt de eieren.

Spaghetti carbonaraIk schepte daarna (voor de foto) de spaghetti carbonara in een mooie schaal, maar je kunt de spaghetti natuurlijk ook gewoon in de pan houden!
